Criminologist started with the scene where the victim and the serial killer had the meeting and where they left clues. This type of information is important to the investigation. The scene and the victim are important clues to know the characteristics and the preferences of the killer. With all this information is easier to reduce the suspects and make a profile of the killer. This helps society and the possible victims because when they find the right profile there are fewer suspects and police can catch the killer. This is the way criminology works, by profiling and searching for evidence.
